I. GET READY, GET SET TO MAKE A POWERFUL FIRST
IMPRESSION
We will begin the program with the four key ways for making
a powerful first impression, and the four places NOT to put
your hands in business. It will continue with the nine most
commonly-asked questions about introductions, how to start
and sustain a conversation and the art of mixing and
mingling!
II. PROFESSIONAL PRESENCE: WHAT DOES YOUR ATTIRE SAY
ABOUT YOU? PROGRAM
During this program, the most commonly-made image "faux pas"
will be addressed. We will also talk about the "Rule of 13"
to follow when wearing accessories, and the real definition
of "business casual."
III. TELEPHONE COURTESY UNDER PRESSURE PROGRAM
This workshop will assist participants in seeing just how
"phonogenic" they really are! It also will assist them in
getting their calls returned -- and promptly, how to turn a
"cold" call into a warm one, and the "tactful" way to cut
short a chatty person. We will also address fax etiquette,
voice-mail etiquette, e-mail etiquette and netiquette!
IV. BUSINESS ETIQUETTE IN CORRESPONDENCE PROGRAM
During this program, we will discuss the art of business
correspondence. We also will talk about when writing a note
vs. "keying" a letter is acceptable. Your participants also
will learn the color of ink to use for signing
correspondence, when a note should be sent, and how to turn
a "no" today into a "yes" tomorrow! Finally, the cost of
procrastination will be discussed!
V. OFFICE ETIQUETTE PROGRAM
The way that you interact with colleagues and managers is as
important as the way you treat your most important clients.
How would you rate your office etiquette? This session
addresses ethics in the workplace. It also covers how to
climb that slippery ladder of success through your words and
actions, how to keep a chatty worker from monopolizing your
time, and how to get more out of each day. Finally, it
addresses the proper way to treat office guests whether they
are visiting you or the person down the hall.
VI. GAINING THE COMPETITIVE EDGE DURING BUSINESS MEALS PROGRAM
This entertaining and informative "hands-on" program will
emphasize that business meals are for
maintaining/establishing rapport with clients first -- and
then for eating! It will cover the gambit of napkin
etiquette, the American, European and "No" dining style
differences, how to handle difficult-to eat foods, when to
begin talking business during a meal, and much more!
VII. AVOIDING THE EIGHT MOST COMMONLY-MADE
INTERNATIONAL ETIQUETTE "FAUX PAS" PROGRAM Whether you are greeting and meeting,
communicating via correspondence, or entertaining over a
meal, your actions say a lot about you. When interacting
with international clients, your nonverbals are twice as
important. This session will address the do's and taboos
when working with clients throughout the world. You will
learn how to integrate the customs and manners of YOUR
potential clients into your own professional style!
